Creole Style Pan Seared Salmon with Crispy Kale

Spicy juicy salmon set on a bed of crispy kale is refreshing and healthy.

cajun Salmon

 4 oz Atlantic Salmon Fillets
 1 cup Raw Fresh Kale
 1 tbsp Grass-fed Butter
 1 tbsp Oil
Cajun Seasoning
 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
 1 tbsp Paprika
 1 ½ tsp Onion Powder
 1 ½ tsp Oregano
 1 ½ tsp Sea Salt
 1 tsp Black Pepper
 ½ tsp Cayenne Pepper

Wash, chop and pat dry kale to prep for baking. Sprinkle with oil and sea salt and place on the sheet pan covered with parchment paper. Bake kale in 350 degrees oven until dry and crispy. Place to the side until salmon is done.



Prep and prepare salmon by patting dry and thoroughly seasoning each piece. Let sit for a minute or two before searing.

Heat pan on high until very hot. Then add oil and butter then immediately add the salmon skin side down. Sear for 4 minutes skin side then flip over and sear for another 4 minutes on the flesh side. Checking for firmness to ensure cook time is accurate and salmon is cook threw.



Let salmon rest for 5 minutes at least before serving on top of crispy kale and seasoned green beans, if desired.

Moist and delicious cajun style pan seared salmon with crispy kale chips makes a yummy quick meal. The starch is purposely left out to keep it low carb.
