I am a wife and mother of three beautiful kids. Raising my children kind of put a pause on taking care of myself. A fact I failed to notice until I was 40 pounds overweight and feeling dumpy. I realized it was time to change when I got a good hard look at myself in the mirror. Two years later and 25 pounds down. I have been on a mission to change my eating habits from junk food to clean whole healthy foods. I totally admit, I’m not perfect and have struggled with junk food, gaining and losing several pounds over the course of my journey. However, I am more determined than ever to live the lifestyle I was meant to live. A life of clean, whole, sustainable, nutrient-rich foods sourced from local farms and markets.
Okay, I know two years and 25 pounds doesn’t seem like much but as I said before, I struggle between my healthy side and my bad food side. I have fallen off the wagon several times. Mostly because I love to entertain. However, after a lot of research, I discovered that I do not have to give up my passion for food or entertaining to be healthy. I don’t even have to diet. If I incorporated healthy whole foods into my life and eliminated the junk food. I could thrive and lose weight. it’s a slower weight loss but there is no up and down. Just slow steady weight loss.
Now, I entertain like a boss using fresh ingredients to fuel myself and my guests. I am healthier and happier than I’ve ever before and my guests appreciate the healthier food options. Win, win.
